The story begins with the acquisition of the Ramco Vineyard around mid 2004. In addition to region, the vineyard had to meet certain criteria such as scale.
It had to have critical mass, it had to have land and resources for future plantings but most importantly it needed to be able to build a financial model that worked long term. Capable of producing 500,000 cases per annum.
